Local roads and transportation are getting a boost. About $67 million is being given to 29 road and transportation projects across the county. The projects, which are in various stages of development, range from sidewalk and crosswalk improvements to trail and bus programs. The largest amount is about $5 million going to Santa Rosa for its widening of the Highway 101 corridor interchange at Hearn Avenue. Construction of that project could begin in early October.
