More than 50 people are expected to fast in solidarity with Sonoma County’s homeless population. The fast will take place tomorrow from dawn to dusk, as a form of prayer or political protest. The fast is being organized by Rabbi Irwin Keller. Last year, he created a coalition in Sonoma County called Interfaith Public Fast. Keller says he was inspired to organize a local public fast after seeing the needs of the local homeless population, especially during the recent winter storms and freezing cold weather.
