Several Properties Damaged by Soil Slides in Santa Rosa

The latest round of wet weather is creating issues for at least six properties in Santa Rosa. Authorities are keeping close watch of several homes and a synagogue because of soil movement on a nearby hillside. Two homes on Cooper Drive were red-tagged due to safety concerns on Sunday. Officials with the Santa Rosa Fire Department are also monitoring a slide mass behind three other homes. This comes with another powerful storm system forecast to arrive in the area late tonight. This atmospheric river could bring two to three inches of rain to Sonoma County’s valleys and three to five inches of rain to the higher elevations.
