Water rescue on Slusser Road 3-14-23 (Sonoma County Fire Distrtict)
The Sonoma County Fire District was busy pulling people from vehicles stuck in flooded roads. First, just after noon Tuesday, a vehicle was stuck in the floodwaters on Armstrong Woods Road in Guerneville. Two adults and a child were helped by a rescue boat. There were no injuries. Then around 5 PM, firefighters had to rescue a driver stranded on the flooded Slusser Road at River Road. The fire districts reminds folks “Road blocks and signs are up for a reason. Don’t go around them, it’s dangerous.”
