Rohnert Park is changing how it manages cash deposits after losing 20-thousand-dollars in donations. The money came from a senior center account and was discovered missing from the city’s coffers last August. But, it wasn’t announced to the public until March 1st. Police are still investigating the possible theft, but it’s unclear if any Rohnert Park city employees are facing charges. It’s also not known when or how the money went missing. In the meantime, the city has updated how cash is collected and counted. Two employees are now required to be in the room while money is counted.
