Sonoma County is reeling from yet another rainstorm. Tuesday’s storm took down several trees, including a large cypress tree that crushed a car in Santa Rosa’s Junior College neighborhood. Some large branches from an oak tree also crushed an SUV in east Santa Rosa. And, a tree and power lines fell and completely blocked Saint Helena Road. Calistoga Road, just east of Saint Helena Road, was partially blocked by a rock slide too. There are no reports of injuries from any of these incidents. The official rain gauge at Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport has now recorded nearly 27 inches of rain since the beginning of the year.

Meanwhile, the strong wind storm is being blamed for at least two deaths in Northern California. One was a man driving home from work on a San Mateo County road. The other was a passenger traveling in Walnut Creek. Pacific Gas & Electric said over 120-thousand customers in the Bay Area were without power yesterday. San Francisco city officials said no injuries were reported after a window blew out sending shards of glass down from the Millennium Tower. Multiple lanes were temporarily closed on the Bay Bridge after a big rig rolled over during the evening commute.
