An artist from Sonoma County, known for carving intricate sculptures out of wood and metal, has died. Bruce Johnson was killed in an accident at his home studio in Timber Cove on Monday. He was 77-years-old. Johnson lived and worked above the North Sonoma Coast for 50 years. Authorities have not confirmed details about the accident, but friends tell the Press Democrat Johnson was hit by a piece of sculpture that fell when he was moving or working on it.
