About 60 people gathered in Santa Rosa’s Courthouse Square to celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility. They gathered Friday afternoon waiving the blue, pink and white transgender flag and holding homemade signs supporting transgender rights. Several told the Press Democrat that this year’s Visibility Day had more significance considering there are over 400 anti-LGBTQ+ bills across the country, and 11 states are banning gender-affirming care. Another rally was held at Fourth Street and Farmers Lane but had far fewer participants.
