Sonoma County’s healthcare facilities can now make their own masking policies. The change went into effect Monday, per state and county rules. The rules are connected with COVID-19 community levels determined by the CDC. Sonoma County has a low COVID community level. The new state guidance, which the county has aligned itself with, recommends healthcare providers, including hospitals and nursing homes, “consider” the use of masks when the community level is low.
