Start preparing now for a dangerous mosquito season. The pesky pests only need a tiny bit of water to breed and right now, California has a lot of it. While all the rain is good news for the drought, it raises a health concern since mosquitoes can spread disease such as West Nile. The virus killed 13 people statewide last year and has caused 76-hundred cases since 2003. Experts say mosquito season will start once the warm weather settles in.
