Man’s best friend helps find three pounds of meth during a Santa Rosa traffic stop. On Tuesday afternoon, a deputy and his K-9 partner, Max, spotted a truck weaving in its lane and pulled it over on Todd Road just east of Stony Point Road. After identifying the driver as 50-year-old Eddie Mendonca, the deputy determined he was on pretrial release and subject to warrant less search and seizure. During the search, Max found about three pounds of Meth in the truck. Deputies found another half pound of meth at Mendonca’s home. Mendonca was arrested and charged with two drug related crimes and violating his pretrial release.
