A local filmmaker is hoping to create a documentary on the Sonoma Developmental Center. The Sonoma Index-Tribune reports that Lucas Lackner of Eldridge is seeking to make a 50-minute documentary on the 130-year plus history of the Center. Lackner has stated he wants to highlight the good and bad history of the center by interviewing past employees, relatives of clients, members of the Glen Ellen Historical Society and administrators of the Sonoma Developmental Center. He also wants to go into the redevelopment plans for the center which he is against. Lackner has launched a GoFundMe hoping to raise over $12,000 dollars to produce a trailer.
