Santa Rosa Police are investigating a possible firearms burglary at an empty home being remodeled. On Saturday morning, a neighbor of the home on the 800 block of Acacia Lane reported hearing sounds of fence boards breaking in the backyard of the home. Police arrived and spotted a man running from the area, sweating with blood on his hands. Police, though, let him go after interviewing him and getting his information because there was no other evidence tying him to the burglary. Police did find a backpack with a gun and another laying on the ground outside of a detached garage. They intend to search them for fingerprints.
