All but three California counties are exempt from today’s federal tax filing deadline. Sonoma County and other counties are eligible to file their federal and state income taxes by October 16th. The exemption impacts those counties affected by deadly storms that caused power outages and flooding. Lassen, Modoc, and Shasta are the only counties in the state that still have to file by today’s federal deadline.
