What does the new county budget look like? Starting tomorrow through Thursday, Sonoma County Supervisors will hold budget workshops to provide county residents and taxpayers an opportunity to learn about the 2023-2024 fiscal year preliminary spending plan. The fiscal year runs July 1st through June 30th. The workshops are informational, and the board will not make any budget determinations at these meetings. Budgets for each county department will be presented, as well as an updated five-year General Fund forecast. County staff will also provide an update on additional adjustments and department change requests. The 2023-24 preliminary balanced budget totals $2.1 billion.
