A man who escaped from Sonoma County Jail in January will be sentenced this morning. Josh Avilla the Third, who is 39-years-old, faces up to seven years in prison after pleading no contest to escape and vehicle theft charges in late March. On January 3rd, he escaped through a back door used for food shipments while working as part of a jail kitchen crew. He was found at an apartment complex in Petaluma and arrested two days later. He had been in jail since last November, after being arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen pickup truck.
