California Investing $700-Million into Transportation Projects

The state is investing nearly $700-million dollars in new public transportation projects. Governor Newsom says this will benefit disadvantaged communities and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about two-million metric tons. That’s the same as taking more than 445-thousand gas-powered cars off the road. The money is going to various counties and will be used on things like improving train service in San Diego and building a mobility hub in Sacramento.
