Five Pets Die in Boyes Hot Springs Apartment Fire

A dog and four cats have died in an apartment fire in Boyes Hot Springs. A fire broke out Wednesday morning at a four-plex on the 16000 block of Cedar Court. The blaze forced at least 15 residents to evacuate. Firefighters had it under control by 10:30 AM but not before it took the lives of five pets that hid under a bed in the apartment where the fire started. A resident of another unit managed to save their seven birds and four guinea pigs. At least $500,000 in damages were reported.
