Third Stabbing Reported in Davis in Less Than a Week

A shelter in place order was in effect after reports of a third stabbing in less than a week in the town of Davis. An alert to shelter in place was issued at about 12:30 this morning after a stabbing that happened in the area of Second and L Streets. The order was lifted just after 3am, although the suspect is still at large. The suspect was last seen running westbound on Third Street. The victim is in critical condition. Last Thursday, a 50-year-old man was stabbed to death in Davis’ Central Park. On Saturday night, a 20-year-old man, who was a U.C. Davis student, was stabbed to death in the city’s Sycamore Park. No arrests have been made.
