Part of Highway 37 will be closed to fix a railroad crossing. A SMART Train contractor will close Highway 37 to reconstruct the railroad crossing near the junction with Highway 121 at Sears Point. It will take place on Saturday, May 20, at 3:00 AM and will reopen on Sunday, May 21, at 11:00 AM. Due to heavy vehicle traffic and usage, this railroad crossing requires significant repairs, including reconstruction of the subgrade and the railroad track. Multiple detour signs and advance warning signs will be placed along Highway 29, Highway 12, Highway 121/Arnold Drive, and Highway 37.
