PG&E customers are being encouraged to register for the utility’s rewards program. The Power Saver Rewards program rewards participants for temporarily reducing energy use when demand for electricity is high. Customers who reduce energy use between 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. when the California Independent System Operator issues a Flex Alert or an Energy Emergency Alert Watch will receive an automatic credit on their energy statement. Last year, PG&E customers received over 55-million dollars in bill credits.
