The Santa Rosa City Council will get its first look at the proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Council members will analyze the proposed 534-million-dollar budget during a two-day study session this week. City finance officials will be offering an overview of the city’s revenues, expenses and financial health. Then, department heads will be making their pitches to get their funding requests filled. Today’s hearing will last from noon to 4 p.m. The 534-million is an eleven-percent increase from the current city budget.
