Two People with Drugs and a Handgun Arrested in Santa Rosa Traffic Stop

Two people from the East Bay have been arrested in Santa Rosa after being found with drugs and a loaded handgun. Early Monday morning, a business owner contacted the Sonoma County Sheriff’s office and told them that he saw two people climbing under vehicles parked outside his business on Santa Rosa Avenue through his security cameras. Deputies showed up and confronted Joseph McBeth and Krista Kresge who claimed they were in the county visiting a casino and decided to look at cars and RVs on Santa Rosa Avenue afterward. Kresge is on probation, so deputies searched their car and Kresge’s purse and found over 40 grams of meth along with a stolen handgun, cocaine, an unknown drug, and drug paraphernalia. Both were arrested on drug charges while McBeth was also charged for firearm related crimes.
