Willits Man Found Guilty in Death of Two Marijuana Farm Workers

A Willits man has been found guilty of killing two people at an illegal marijuana farm.

A Mendocino County jury found 48-year-old Christopher Gamble guilty of fatally shooting 17-year-old Anwar Ayala Rodriguez and 42-year-old Ulises Andrade Ayala. The two were father and son and worked for Gamble on the farm 10 miles north of Willits. In April of 2021, Gamble shot and killed Rodriguez and Ayala before decapitating them. Their heads were never found. Gamble reportedly did not get along with the two men but a motive for the killings was never specified in court records.

Gamble was also found guilty of killing, maiming or abusing animals.
