The Santa Rosa City School Board has a new trustee. On Wednesday, the board decided to appoint father and small business owner Jeremy De La Torre as its Area Seven trustee. He and another parent with a student in the school district, Deanna Olivarez, were interviewed for the position. De La Torre replaces Laurie Fong and will serve out the rest of her term, which expires in December of 2024. Fong resigned from the board earlier this year to become the interim principal at Montgomery High School.
