A motorcyclist is dead after crashing east of Petaluma. On Friday afternoon, a male motorcyclist driving eastbound on Route 116 lost control and drove off the roadway near Riscioni Road. The man was thrown from the bike after crashing into a fence. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene. He has not been identified by the CHP as they are still working to notify his family.
