Newly appointed Sonoma Valley Unified School District Superintendent Jeanette Rodriguez-Chien will officially assume the role on July 1st. The district’s board of supervisors has approved a contract that will keep her as superintendent through June 30th, 2026. She will be making 241-thousand-dollars annually. Rodriguez-Chien will take over for Adrian Palazuelos, who suddenly resigned last November. Associate superintendent of educational services Doctor Elizabeth Kaufman has been serving as acting superintendent since then.
