Sonoma Sheriff’s Wife Arrested for DUI Crash into Santa Rosa Home

There is new information about the alleged DUI crash that led to the arrest of the wife of Sonoma County Sheriff Eddie Engram. Forty-seven-year-old Natasha Whittinghill is accused of crashing into a house in Santa Rosa and injuring a resident early Saturday morning. Authorities say her Tesla went through a living room wall and nearly hit a woman sitting on a couch. Witnesses say Engram arrived 15 minutes after the crash, before police got to the scene. A neighbor tells the Press Democrat, after the crash, Whittinghill wandered into the road, was nearly hit by a car, then fell into a bush. Whittinghill was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and has since been released on $100-thousand bail.
