Two Pilots Dead in Plane Crash Travelling from Santa Rosa to Hawaii

Two pilots are dead after a small plane heading from Santa Rosa to Hawaii crashed into the ocean. The plane went down Saturday morning off the San Mateo County coast. Both people onboard were killed. The identity of the two men has not yet been released. The pilots told air traffic control they were running out of fuel shortly before the crash. The aircraft, which took off from Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport, was described as a twin-engine utility plane. The plane is registered to a trust managed by the Bank of Utah.
