California’s fentanyl crisis was front and center Wednesday. Lawmakers in the state Assembly held a hearing with three different committees in a rare joint session. Assembly Republicans are unveiling an online tracker to estimate how many Californians have been killed by fentanyl since the beginning of the year. They say Democrats are all talk and no action was taken during the hearing. So far in 2023, nearly 23-hundred Californians have lost their lives to fentanyl. The tracker is online at ASMRC.org.
