A major Santa Rosa resort has new owners. The 92-acre Vintners Resort has been purchased by members of the Jackson family and Ensemble Investments LLC. The purchase includes Vintners Resort and Spa; the conference meeting and event spaces; John Ash & Co. Restaurant, and River Vine restaurant; the flower and culinary gardens, fig and olive orchards, and the estate vineyards. The founding Carano family made the sale. Rhonda Carano says it was time for her to step back and smell the roses. Vintners Resort was founded in 1984 as one of the first luxury resorts on a working vineyard in Sonoma County. The partnership with Ensemble Investments will be managed by the Jackson family, independent of Jackson Family Wines.
