Former KTVU Anchor Frank Somerville Arrested Twice in One Night

A former KTVU anchor has been arrested twice in one night. On Monday night, Frank Somerville went to his brother’s home in Berkeley while drunk. He punched his brother and was arrested for public intoxication, assault, making criminal threats and violating probation. After being released from jail that night, he went back to the home and tried to retrieve some possessions. Police were called and they found Somerville in his car, apparently under the influence. Police then saw him drive drunk and arrested him again for driving while drunk and violating his probation. Somerville was with KTVU for about 30 years until January of 2022 when the station didn’t renew his contract. A month before that, he was arrested for DUI after crashing into another car in an Oakland intersection.
