The investigation into a series of racist and potentially threatening Google slides involving middle school students in Santa Rosa is on hold. Police say that’s because they haven’t been given the confirmed names and contacts of the Rincon Valley Middle School students accused of sharing the slides. Santa Rosa City Schools Superintendent Anna Trunnell says the students were identified last week because they used their school email accounts to send the slides. The school has told detectives it can’t give them the students’ information because permission to release contact information would have to come from someone higher up in the district. Superintendent Trunnell says the incident is a private disciplinary matter.
