A neighborhood in Rohnert Park is returning to normal following a suspicious package investigation. Police advised residents in the area of Lanyard Court and Lancaster Drive to shelter-in-place at about 11:15 Tuesday morning. A homeowner called police after finding a suspicious package on his sidewalk. Police Chief Tim Mattos says it was a wooden box with a handle or pole on it. Investigators deemed the package a non-threat and lifted the shelter-in-place advisory more than two hours later. But, it’s still unclear what was inside the package and how it got there.
