Crash in Corte Madera involving Mario Territo (Santa Rosa Police)
A man has been arrested after stealing a Santa Rosa cab and leading police on a chase into Marin County. Early this morning, 39-year-old Mario Territo was leaving the hospital and had a voucher for a cab service ride. The cab driver briefly left the car while it was running, allowing Territo to get in it and drive away without the driver. Police were called and they spotted Territo and gave chase which ended up going southbound on highway 101. Spike strips were used to try to slow Territo. He exited in Corte Madera and was stopped a short while later with an officer using a PIT maneuver. Territo exited the car with a knife but was talked down and arrested without further incident.
