Sonoma County had a low number of citations compared to the number of fireworks-related calls authorities received this Fourth of July. Police responded to more than 300 calls, but just seven residents were cited for setting off illegal fireworks. One person was arrested during a call about illegal fireworks being lit in Santa Rosa. The 15-year-old is accused of carrying a loaded gun in their waistband near Martin Luther King Park. Santa Rosa outlawed fireworks 20 years ago.
