Sonoma Sheriff Marine Unit rescuing stranded family on Lake Sonoma 7-2-23 (Sonoma Sheriff)
A family of 14 stranded on Lake Sonoma had to be rescued by the sheriff’s marine unit. The family’s boat broke down on Sunday with no cell service available. Fortunately, they managed to flag down a sheriff’s patrol boat. Patrol units are often on the water during the summer months for events such as these. Deputies were able to transport everyone safely back to shore.
