Santa Rosa police recover two stolen vehicles within an hour. Yesterday evening, police got a call regarding someone who stole a boxed air compressor from their front porch on Sansone Drive. The victim managed to get a picture of the license plate and sent it to the police. Cops determined the vehicle was stolen out of Ukiah the day before. Officers spotted the vehicle at a Motel 6 parking lot and arrested the driver, Rafael Carrillo-Contreras, without incident. Within the hour, another stolen vehicle with fake plates was sighted by police on Wallace Road. That led to a high speed chase which ended when the suspect, Lawrence Cassidy, crashed the truck in an open field and then fled on foot before he was captured and arrested.
