Expect delays on Highway 12 near Kenwood for the next several weeks. The Sonoma Creek Bridge is being demolished and rebuilt, causing one-way traffic control 24 hours a day. The re-construction is happening because of creek bed erosion. It is expected to take 45 days to complete. Two-way traffic will be restored at some point. This is not the only roadwork in the area… road closures are expected to start on Thursday for the Hooker Creek Bridge which will be replaced on Highway 12 near Glen Ellen. If you drive in that area, expect to take detours through Madrone and Agua Caliente Roads for about 30 days.
