Investigators are piecing together a deadly plane crash in San Rafael. It went down late Saturday night at Smith Ranch Airport after hitting electrical lines. Marin County officials say the plane landed in a marsh at the end of the runway. The 73-year-old pilot is fighting for his life in the hospital. His 59-year-old passenger from Novato did not survive. The crash caused power outages in the area but crews had service restored by yesterday.
