The passenger killed and pilot injured in a plane crash in San Rafael are being identified. Fifty-nine-year-old Marc Pankin of Novato died at the scene of the crash this past Saturday. The pilot was 73-year-old Kirk Harford of San Rafael. He survived but remains in critical condition. The two were returning from a business trip in Nevada when their plane hit power lines near the Smith Ranch Airport. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
