Healdsburg takes another step towards creating a citywide Climate Mobilization Strategy. Last month, the city council heard 22 proposals that could reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Thirteen of the proposals would provide direct reductions while the other would offer supportive actions. Council members also offered their two-cents requesting feasibility studies for gathering renewable and carbon-free electricity, as well as studying ridership on Healdsburg Public Transit. The city council is expected to have a final vote on the plan in September. An open house and public workshop on the Climate Mobilization Strategy will take place on July 26th at 6 PM at the Healdsburg Community Center’s multipurpose room.
