A book about ‘Peanuts’ creator Charles Schulz is the winner of an award at this year’s Comic Con in San Diego. “Charles M. Schulz: The Art and Life of the ‘Peanuts’ Creator in 100 Objects” won the Eisner Award for best comics-related book. The book, published last year, was co-written by Benjamin Clark, the curator of the Charles Schulz Museum and Research Center in Santa Rosa. Clark was on hand to accept the award. Schulz moved to Sonoma County in 1958 and died in Santa Rosa in 2000. He wrote and drew the ‘Peanuts’ comic strip for close to five decades.
