A 500-acre petrified forest near Calistoga is up for sale for 12-million dollars. The petrified forest is one of the original tourist attractions in the North Bay. The same family that has owned the property since 1914 is now parting ways with it. It also includes a woodworking gift shop, a café, a guest house, a “party barn,” and access to about a mile of Porter Creek. The petrified forest hosts 30-thousand visitors per year.
