DUI Driver Arrested in Santa Rosa After Hit-and-Run Causing Injury

An DUI driver has been arrested after a hit-and-run crash in Santa Rosa. Early Sunday morning, an officer driving on Railroad Street just south of Third Street was flagged down by an injured driver who had just been in a crash. The driver said the other vehicle fled the scene. They were taken to a local hospital and treated for significant injuries. Police checked the area and found the other vehicle in a parking lot near Fifth and Wilson Street. The driver, 34-year-old Alfredo Gonzalez-Gutierrez, was under the influence and was arrested for DUI causing injury and hit-and-run with injury.
