Sonoma County’s tech efforts are being recognized. The Digital Counties Survey, by the Center for Digital Government and the National Association of Counties, ranked the County of Sonoma 5th best in our population category. This is the second time in three years that Sonoma County has been ranked among the best in the nation. One of the highlights was the county’s decision to move its 4,000 employees to Microsoft Office 360 in the cloud so services can still be provided if the main data center goes down. No employee accounts have been compromised by phishing emails since the update.
