A Sonoma egg rancher is pleading no contest to vehicular manslaughter. Eighty-year-old Arnold Riebli made his plea last month and will be sentenced on October 6th, expecting to receive a 180 day jail sentence and home confinement with a monitoring device. In July of 2021, Riebli crashed his truck while speeding on Old Adobe Road towards Sonoma. His actions caused a multi-vehicle crash which killed Gail Forte, a 63-year-old retired teacher from Napa. Riebli and two others suffered major injuries. Riebli is the co-owner of Sunrise Farms, which has egg-laying hens across the county.
