Three Retail Stores Robbed on Wednesday Afternoon in Petaluma

One arrest has been made in three separate retail thefts in Petaluma. On Wednesday afternoon, police got a report of a suspect fleeing Dick’s Sporting Goods with over $1,000 in merchandise. Employees gave a description of the thief, later identified as Evan Thomas, and his vehicle. An officer stopped the vehicle a little while later finding the stolen merchandise inside along with burglary tools, and suspected fentanyl. While this was happening, another theft was underway at Wilco Farm Store where two suspects stole over $3,000 worth of merchandise. Within the same time frame another suspect stole over $1,000 worth of perfume from Kohl’s.  The suspects in the Wilco and Kohl’s thefts are still on the loose.
