An investigation is underway after at least 15 people who took part in the Sonoma Tough Mudder endurance race fell ill. The race was held last weekend at Sonoma Raceway. Interim County Health Officer Doctor Karen Smith says the 15 people have reported having rashes and pustules. Some of them have also come down with fevers and fatigue. Doctors confirm they’ve seen several patients with small red bumps, commonly known as swimmer’s itch. But, some are also exhibiting symptoms more in line with bacterial infections.
