Petaluma police are looking for a man who may have gone missing along with his boat. This week, police received a call regarding someone who wanted to report their family member, 67-year-old George Ferguson, missing. The caller said that on August 18th, Ferguson had told her that his boat had run aground near Alcatraz Island and he had to be assisted by the Coast Guard to free the boat. Ferguson then told her he would be sailing towards Petaluma but she hasn’t heard from him since. She said Ferguson suffers from cognitive medical issues and she was also worried due to his limited boating experience. Police and the Coast Guard have not been able to locate Ferguson or his boat.
